The 7 PM concert, which is free and open to the public, features selections from five operatic works revolving around themes from the biblical tale of Adam and Eve: The Hunger Art (music by Jeff Myers, libretto by Royce Vavrek); Nora at the Altar-Rail (music by Jay Anthony Gach, libretto by Royce Vavrek); Altezura (music by Aleksandra Vrebalov, libretto by Deborah Brevoort); Nylons (music by Cristian Amigo, libretto by Emily Charlotte Conbere); and Adam and Eve (music by Patrick Soluri, libretto by Quincy Long). Cooper, who appears in Altezura, is joined by Thomas Wazelle, Amanda Pabyan, David Korn, Edwin Vega, Bryce Smith, Christopher Burchett, Jeffrey Picon, Andrea Nwoke, Sarah Heltzel and Jennifer Roderer. The evening is moderated by composer/librettist Mark Adamo.
Cooper, a Tony winner for The Life, made his Broadway debut in Amen Corner. His theatrical credits also include Caroline, Or Change; Passion; Lennon; Someone Who'll Watch Over Me; and Chicago.
