STC revisits its popular 2008-09 production of the comedy for the summer slot. Performances (22 of them, all free) continue to Sept. 5 at the company's Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW).

Remounting original director Rebecca Bayla Taichman's earlier production, STC associate director Alan Paul directs a cast that includes Christina Pumariega as Viola, Sarah Agnew as Olivia, Gregory Wooddell as Orsino, Randy Harrison (know for TV's "Queer as Folk") as Sebastian, Nancy Robinette as Maria, Floyd King as Feste, Tom Story as Sir Andrew Aguecheek, and Philip Goodwin as Malvolio. Cooper (recently of Broadway's Finian's Rainbow) won his Tony for Broadway's The Life.

Twelfth Night also features Nancy Flores, Maya Jackson, Stacey Jackson, Drew Kopas, Dan Lawrence, John Rolle, Brendon Schaefer, Todd Scofield and Jude Tibeau.

Director Paul will work with the design team Taichman assembled to create a mythic contemporary world for Twelfth Night. Riccardo Hernandez's set design "uses icy-cool cascading fabrics, a reflective silver floor and a playful second act adorned with larger-than-life rose blossom murals," according to STC notes, and costume designer Miranda Hoffman returns with designs "evoking a modern Victorian style including corseted dresses and masculine jackets and vests." The Twelfth Night design team also includes composition and sound design by Martin Desjardins, lighting design by Christopher Akerlind, fight direction by Rick Sordelet, choreography by Daniel Pelzig, text coaching by Ursula Meyer, stage manager Martin Lechner and assistant stage manager Elizabeth Clewley.

Tickets to Twelfth Night can be obtained in-person the day of the performance at STC's box office two hours before curtain. Lines may form very early, so patrons are encouraged to plan accordingly. Performances will take place Aug. 19-21, 26-28, and Sept. 2-4, at 8 PM; and Aug. 22, 24, 25, 29, 31, Sept. 1 and 5 at 7:30 PM; Aug. 21, 22, 28, 29, Sept. 4 and 5 at 2 PM. Season subscribers and Friends of Free For All may reserve tickets in advance for select performances.
