News Claire Danes and Hank Azaria Join Cast of Public's Dry Powder The Public Theater has announced complete casting for the world premiere of Sarah Burgess' comedy drama Dry Powder, helmed by Hamilton director Thomas Kail. Joining the cast are "Homeland" star and Golden Globe nominee Claire Danes and Tony nominee Hank Azaria (Spamalot, "The Simpsons.")

The complete cast also includes Sanjit De Silva and John Krasinski.

Dry Powder is scheduled to begin previews March 1 and will now play through April 24. An official opening night is set for March 22.

Burgess' new play explores the price of success and the people shaping the American economy.

"The same week his private equity firm forced massive layoffs at a national grocery chain, Rick (Azaria) threw himself an extravagant engagement party, setting off a publicity nightmare," state production notes. "Fortunately, Seth (Krasinski), one of Rick’s partners, has a win-win deal to invest in an American-made luggage company for a song and rescue his boss from a PR disaster. But Jenny (Danes), Seth’s counterpart, has an entirely different plan: to squeeze every last penny out of the company, no matter the consequences."

The production features scenic design by Rachel Hauck; costume design by Clint Ramos; lighting design by Jason Lyons; and sound design by Lindsay Jones.
