News Claire Danes to Appear in Edith & Jenny at P.S. 122 Claire Danes will perform in the world premiere of Tamar Ragoff's performance piece Edith & Jenny at P.S. 122 from Jan 26-Feb. 4, 2007.

Ariel Flavin, Ragoff's daughter, also stars in the multimedia dance piece, which incorporates footage from Danes' and Flavin's film debuts, in 1988, when both actresses were 11 years old. Danes starred as Edith in the film "Dreams of Love" and Flavin starred as Jenny in "Coyote Mountain." Both films were created by Jeff Mueller.

Danes, best know for her television role in her role in "My So-Called Life" (Emmy nomination, Golden Globe Award), previously appeared in Ragoff's dance piece Christina Olson: American Model in 2005.

Danes grew up in New York and trained at the Lee Strasberg Institute and been featured on stage in Happiness, Kids on Stage and Punk Ballet. She has starred in films such as "Shopgirl," "The Family Stone," "Stage Beauty," "Igby Goes Down," "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines," "Les Misérables," "The Rainmaker," "U-Turn," "William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet," "To Gillian on her 37th Birthday," "How to Make an American Quilt," "Home for the Holidays" and "Little Women."

Ragoff is a choreographer whose dance pieces include Demeter's Daughter, Angle of Ascent, Daughter of a Pacifist Soldier, The Ivye Project and Night for Day.
