Off-Broadway News Clare Barron's Shhhh Completes World Premiere Off-Broadway Run February 20

Barron, a Pulitzer finalist for Dance Nation, also directs and stars in the Atlantic Theatre Company production.

Atlantic Theater Company's world-premiere production of Clare Barron's Shhhh completes its run at Off-Broadway's Atlantic Stage 2 February 20. The world premiere opened January 31 after beginning performances January 14.

Barron, a Pulitzer finalist for her work Dance Nation, not only wrote the new piece, but directs and stars as well. Described as "a study in kink, trauma, pleasure, and revenge," the production also features Janice Amaya (Cartography), Annie Fang, Nina Grollman (To Kill a Mockingbird), Greg Keller (Halfway Bitches Go Straight to Heaven), and Constance Shulman (The Rose Tattoo).

Barron leads a creative team that includes scenic designer Arnulfo Maldonado, costume designer Kaye Voyce, lighting designer Jen Schriever, and sound designer Sinan Refik Zafar. Laura Smith is production stage manager and Thomas Dieter assistant stage manager, with Unkledave's Fight House serving as intimacy coordinator and Agnes Borinsky as dramaturg.

Audience members are required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination, accepting the digital Excelsior Pass, the NYC COVID Safe Pass, a photo or copy of a CDC vaccination card, or a photo or copy of an official immunization record from outside the U.S., with all guests also required to present identification. Masks are required indoors at all times.
