Directed by John Rando, the cast will feature Olivier Award winner Suzanne Bertish (Nicholas Nickleby, Machinal) as Madame Argante, Carson Elrod (Peter and the Starcatcher, Reckless) as Crispin, Claire Karpen (Unrequited, Into the Woods) as Lisette, Amelia Pedlow (You Never Can Tell, The Notebook of Trigorin) as Isabelle, Tony Award nominee David Pittu (LoveMusik, Is He Dead?) as Scruple, Dave Quay (The Rufus Equation, Until Next Time) as Eraste and Tony Award nominee Paxton Whitehead (Lettice and Lovage, The Importance of Being Earnest) as Geronte.

"Meet young Eraste. He has it all: good looks, a beautiful fiancée, and a huge inheritance from an ancient uncle," press notes state. "There's just one little problem: the uncle won't die and he's bequeathed his entire fortune to a distant relative. Oh, and did we mention the uncle also intends to marry Eraste's fiancée? What's a fine 18th-century fellow to do? What else but enlist the aid of his resourceful servant, Crispin, who could 'out-Figaro' Figaro."

Ives, whose playwriting credits include Venus In Fur, The School for Lies and New Jerusalem, adapted The Heir Apparent from a play by Jean-François Regnard.

The production will feature set design by Tony Award winner John Lee Beatty, costumes by David C. Woolard, lighting design by Japhy Weideman and sound design by Nevin Steinberg.
