News Claybourne Elder Is Former Boxing Champ in Tennessee Williams' One Arm, Starting May 19 Claybourne Elder and Noah Bean star in Tony Award nominee Moisés Kaufman's stage adaptation of the unproduced Tennessee Williams screenplay One Arm, which begins performances May 19 Off-Broadway.

Kaufman (Bengal Tiger, 33 Variations, Laramie Project) also directs the production that will officially open June 9. The New Group and the Tectonic Theater Project co-present the run, which is scheduled through July 2 at the Acorn Theatre on Theatre Row.

Elder (Road Show) stars as Ollie in a cast that also features Noah Bean (Secrets of the Trade, Broadway Bound), KC Comeaux, Steven Hauck, Todd Lawson, Christopher McCann, Greg Pierotti and Larisa Polonsky.

One Arm has set design by Derek McLane, costume design by Clint Ramos, lighting design by David Lander and original music and sound design by Shane Rettig. Fight direction is by David Anzuelo, with Doug Paulson serving as dialect coach.

According to the New Group/Tectonic, One Arm "follows Ollie, a young boxing champ who loses his arm and turns to hustling to survive."
