News Cleale, Gets, Molaskey and Porter Help Composer Gordon Celebrate New Songbook Sept. 6-7 A host of theatre stars will turn out Sept. 6 and 7 to help composer Ricky Ian Gordon celebrate the release of his new songbook "Finding Home."

Lewis Cleale, Malcolm Gets, Jessica Molaskey and Billy Porter are just some of the performers who will interpret Gordon's work at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre. Also scheduled to lend their voices are Rosena Hill, Brooke Sunny Moriber, Diane Fratantoni, Brian Sutherland and Michael Winther. Composer Gordon will be featured at the piano. Ricky Ian Gordon’s My Life with Albertine was recently presented at Playwrights Horizons. His other works include Dream True, States of Independence, Stonewall/Night Variations, The Tibetan Book of the Dead, Only Heaven, Autumn Valentine, Sweet Song and Morning Star. His songs have been recorded by such artists as Betty Buckley, Audra McDonald and Dawn Upshaw.

Hal Leonard publishing recently published a collection of his songs. That tome is entitled "Finding Home."

There is an $18 cover and a two-drink minimum for the 6 PM concerts; cash only. The Duplex Cabaret Theatre is located in Manhattan at 61 Christopher Street; call (212) 255-5438.
