Peter Gregus, who created the role of Bob Crewe in the Tony-winning Jersey Boys, directs this year's fundraiser, which is produced by BC/EFA and executive-produced by Tony winner Jerry Mitchell.

Joining "over 200 of New York's sexiest dancers at Broadway's hottest night" at Roseland (239 West 52nd Street in Manhattan) will be Drama Desk Award nominee Daniel Reichard (Jersey Boys, Forever Plaid) as the central character, plus Heidi Blickenstaff ([title of show]), Tony Award nominee Kevin Chamberlin (The Addams Family), Tony Award nominee Gavin Creel (Hair), Tony Award winner Sutton Foster (Shrek The Musical), Emmy Award winner Allison Janney (9 to 5), Norm Lewis (The Little Mermaid), Darius Nichols (Hair), Bryce Ryness (Hair), Michael Urie (The Tempermentals, "Ugly Betty"), and Billboard dance music chart-topping vocalist Jason Walker ("Foolish Mind Games,' "Set It Free").

Expect a special performance by Kristine W ("Land of the Living"), the international recording artist and dance music superstar who has topped Billboard's dance music chart 13 times.

Tony Award nominee Hunter Bell ([title of show]) has written the scenes for this year's Bares with David Nehls (The Great American Trailer Park Musical) contributing the show's opening number, an original song entitled "Click It!"

Returning to serve as this year's rotation masters are Tony Award nominee Christopher Sieber (Shrek The Musical, Spamalot) and Jennifer Cody (Shrek The Musical, The Pajama Game). Here's how the 2009 event is billed by producer BC/EFA: "Broadway's hottest boiz are grabbing their hard drives and the grlz are ready to play with some brand new software for what is sure to be a Broadway Bares that will fry more than your mother board. Broadway Bares 19.0 will have over 200 of Broadway's hottest dancers bringing the information superhighway to life and will surely have all of New York a-'twitter.'"

A little Bares history: Nearly 20 years ago, Legally Blonde's Mitchell, who once danced nearly naked on a drum in The Will Rogers Follies, found himself inspired to take it all off to raise money for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, and Broadway Bares was born. The first year, he and seven other Broadway dancers raised $8,000 for the charitable organization.

The 18th annual Broadway Bares, which was held June 22, 2008, was another record breaker, raising $874,372 for BC/EFA. Last year's fundraiser was directed by Denis Jones.

To date, Broadway Bares has raised over $5.5 million for BC/EFA.

Tickets to the Bares fundraiser are on sale by calling (212) 840-0770, ext. 268 or by visiting www.BroadwayCares.org.
