If you're the type of person who gets tired of sappy holiday "it's never too late to change" shows, The NY Goofs have something a little bit different in mind. The Goof Family Christmas Special, at NY's ArcLight Theatre, plays Dec. 2-13.

The Goof Family brings together all the sights and sounds of the season with professional clowns, in a show for grown-ups. Goof features an ensemble of seasoned clowns from various circuses, including Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus, Cirque Du Soleil, and The Big Apple Circus.

The NY Goofs parody just about every favorite Christmas story (from "It's a Wonderful Life" to "The Nutcracker Suite"), in a holiday revue show akin to the comic tradition of Red Skelton, Jackie Gleason, and Sid Caesar.

The show is directed by Dick Monday, famous not only for his 24 years of clowning but for his appearances on numerous television programs, including "Into the Night with Rick Dees," " The Tonight Show," "Rosie O'Donnell" and "Saved By the Bell."

The NY Goofs' The Goof Family Christmas Special plays at the ArcLight Theatre, Dec. 2 - 13. For tickets ($15) or more information, call (212) 591-0028. -- By Sean McGrath
