Among the cast is Annie Parisse, who was last seen on Broadway in the Tony-winning Clybourne Park and whose film and TV credits include "Law & Order," "Person of Interest" and "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days."
She will be joined by Broadway vet Myra Lucretia Taylor, whose stage credits include Nine, Macbeth and Electra; as well as Pun Bandhu (Wit), Jesse J. Perez (Recent Tragic Events), DeLanna Studi (August: Osage County) and Myra Lucretia Taylor ( "Girls").
Co-produced with Ensemble Studio Theatre, performances are set for Aug. 4-Sept. 13 at The Duke on 42nd St. Opening night is slated for Aug. 18.
Helmed by Tommy, who recently staged a highly contemporary adaptation of Les Miz in Dallas, Informed Consent examines one woman's quest to answer the mysteries of science and her own life. The play was inspired by a court case between the Havasupai tribe and Arizona State University and questions whether our DNA is our destiny.
Laufer's plays have been produced or developed at Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Cleveland Playhouse, Williamstown Theatre Festival, the Actors Theatre of Louisville and many more.
