Robert O'Hara (The Brother/Sister Plays, Eclipsed) directs the four-actor play that began previews Oct. 9 and will continue through Nov. 11.

The play, according to the Public, is "a deeply imaginative and utterly outrageous new work that explores the bizarre comedy that lies within death and healing. Gil, an actor who’s struggling to carve out his own new life, finds his worlds colliding when his mother dies and he decides to have her cremated. But where should he scatter the ashes? And can he make a fairytale ending for her in the one place that made her wild with happy?"

Actor-playwright Domingo (Scottsboro Boys, Passing Strange) portrays Gil, with Korey Jackson (Jamaica) as Terry, Maurice McRae ("24," "NYPD Blue") as Mo and Sharon Washington (Ths Scottsboro Boys) as Adelaide/Aunt Glo.

The production has scenic and costume design by Clint Ramos, lighting design by Japhy Weideman, original music and sound design by Lindsay Jones and projection design by Aaron Rhyne.

Domingo has appeared on Broadway in Passing Strange, The Scottsboro Boys, Well and Chicago. He appeared at the Public in Passing Strange prior to its Broadway transfer. Most recently, he starred in Athol Fugard's Blood Knot Off-Broadway. He also wrote and starred in his solo autobiographical show A Boy and His Soul.
