The evening, a centenary celebration of the lyrics of Sammy Cahn and the music of Jimmy Van Heusen, was conceived and directed by McDaniel during his first season as artistic director of the O’Neill Theater Center’s Cabaret and Performance Conference.
The New York staging stars the original O’Neill Theater Center cast: Jeff Harnar, Linda Hart, Nicolas King and Jennifer Sheehan.
Come Fly with Me also features music direction by Tedd Firth, with Tom Hubbard on bass. The music arrangements were created by Firth, Alex Rybeck and McDaniel.
