The Green-Wood Cemetery’s 21st annual Memorial Day concert will be held May 27 from 2:30 PM to 5 PM.
The free outdoor concert features the talents of Caesar Samayoa, who can currently be seen in the Broadway production of the Tony-winning Come From Away, as well as Grammy-nominated jazz vocalist Renée Manning.
Also participating is the New York City Symphonic Band at Third Street, led by Music Director Paul Corn and hosted by guest conductor Brian P. Worsdale.
In addition to patriotic favorites, the works of many Green-Wood residents past and present, including Fred Ebb, Louis Moreau Gottschalk, Leonard Bernstein, and James Weldon Johnson, will be played throughout the afternoon.
