News Comedy Gals Kathy and Mo Have Afterbirth Off-Broadway in June Kathy Najimy and Mo Gaffney — the duo behind The Kathy and Mo Show — will return to Off-Broadway for Second Stage Theatre in June, according to a production spokesperson.

Afterbirth: Kathy & Mo's Greatest Hits will reteam the actresses for a four-week engagement, part of Second Stage's 25th Anniversary Season. Exact dates and venue have not been set yet. Second Stage presented their previous work The Further Adventures of Kathy and Mo in 1986. Don Scardino (Oldest Living Confederate Widow Tells All) directed. Najimy and Gaffney then starred and penned The Kathy and Mo Show: Parallel Lives which followed the duo as they became men and women traveling through life's little rituals, such as teenage dating, family funerals and the mating dance at a country western bar. Paul Benedict (Strictly Academic) directed the latter.

Najimy is remembered from the NBC sitcom "Veronica's Closet" and the "Sister Act" movies. She replaced original star Claudia Shear in the title role in Dirty Blonde. Gaffney appeared on two seasons of "Absolutely Fabulous" and hosted three seasons of "Women Aloud!" on Comedy Central.
