News Comic-Actor Lewis Black Plays Bay Street Theatre Aug. 11 Lewis Black, the actor, comedian and writer, will return to the Bay Street Theatre Aug. 11. Black performed at the Sag Harbor, Long Island, company last year. His act will be presented as part of Bay Street's "Summer Monday" series.

Black may be the most "legitimate" comedian in America. Though he spends much of his time (and makes most of his income) as a stand-up, he is never far from an Equity house. In addition to his visits to Bay Street, he has long been a regular at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, acting in its plays and hosting its cabarets. He has also taken his act to New York's Second Stage. His comedy show, Black Humor, had a run at Off Broadway's Cherry Lane Theatre in 1998. Black graduated from the Yale School of Drama. Tickets are $35, and may be purchased by calling the Bay Street Theatre Box Office at (631) 725-9500.
