News Comic Billy Connolly Extends Off-Broadway Run British comic Billy Connolly, who is currently playing a limited engagement at New York's 37 Arts Theatre, has extended his New York run.

Connolly, who was scheduled to offer his evening of stand-up at the Off-Broadway venue through June 3, will now play through June 17. Billy Connolly Live! began previews May 9 and officially opened May 11. Billy Connolly, who is best known to U.S. audiences for his role in the sitcom "Head of the Class," was voted Britain's Favorite Comedian in 2003. His screen credits include "Mrs. Brown," "Lemony Snicket's—A Series of Unfortunate Events," "The Last Samurai" and "White Oleander." Connolly's new DVD, "Billy Connolly Live in New York" will be released in the U.S. on Rykodisc this month.
