As previously announced, this production — currently playing in the U.K. — will feature an all-Australian cast, including television and theatre actor Craig McLachlan ("The Doctor Blake Mysteries") as Frank 'N' Furter.

Joining McLachlan are Christie Whelan Browne and Tim Maddren as Janet and Brad, respectively. Kristian Lavercombe will reprise his performance as Riff Raff, the role he played in New Zealand and the U.K., and Erika Heynatz, who was nominated for a Helpmann Award for Legally Blonde, will play Magenta.

Also in the cast are Ashlea Pyke as Columbia, Nicholas Christo as Eddie and Dr. Scott and Brendan Irving as Rocky. The Phantoms will be played by Luigi Lucente, Vincent Hooper, Meghan O'Shea and Angela Scundi. The swing/dance captain is James Maxfield.

"We are thrilled to have found the perfect cast for the 40th Anniversary Australian tour of this much loved iconic musical," said Frost and Panter in a statement. "There is no one who can play the character of Frank N Furter like Craig McLachlan. He oozes that risqué charm that an actor playing Frank needs, as well as bucket loads of sex appeal. And after an extensive audition process we have secured a group of exciting musical theatre talents to complete the cast. We know audiences are going to love doing the Time Warp with this wonderful cast again."

The Brisbane production will open Jan. 8, 2014, at the Lyric Theatre, QPAC, and be followed by engagements at the Crown Theatre, Perth (beginning Feb. 14, 2014), the Festival Theatre, Adelaide (beginning March 20, 2014) and the Comedy Theatre, Melbourne (beginning April 24, 2014).  Rocky Horror has not been seen in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide for 15 years.

Here's how the musical is described: "One dark and stormy night, follow squeaky clean sweethearts Brad and Janet as they embark on an adventure they'll never forget, when they stumble upon the scandalous Frank N Furter, the rippling Rocky, a mysterious Riff Raff, the vivacious Magenta and the ultimate show stopping toe tapping gal, Columbia. Get ready for a night of fun, frolics and frivolity in this all-new production of Richard O’Brien's classic iconic story."

The Rocky Horror Show opened at London's Royal Court Theatre June 19, 1973, quickly developing a cult following, and was adapted into the 1975 film "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," which has the longest-running release in film history.
