Lippa, who is best known for his score to the Off-Broadway mounting of The Wild Party, will teach the workshop over the course of four Thursday evenings, May 6-27. The workshop for musical theatre writers will be held at Musical Theatre Works' studio theatre and will evaluate the writers' existing work. Question-and-answer sessions dealing with practical issues for today's songwriters will also be part of the four-evening course. Andrew Lippa has written the scores for the Off-Broadway productions of The Wild Party and john & jen. He also contributed songs to the Broadway revival of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Lippa is currently at work on two new musicals, A Little Princess and Jerry Christmas.
