News Composer Giering Celebrates New CD Aug. 28 Composer Jenny Giering will celebrate the release of her new CD, "Look for Me," Aug. 28 at Joe's Pub.

The singer-songwriter, best known for composing the musicals The Mistress Cycle and Caraboo, will perform several of her original songs at the 7 PM concert. Giering will be joined by the rock band GrooveLily as well as several Broadway musicians. Composer and performer Giering is the winner of the Jonathan Larson and Fredrick Loewe Awards. Her work has been performed at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center, TheatreWorks/Palo Alto, Barrington Stage Company and The Williamstown Theatre Festival. Among the performers who have recorded Giering's songs are Rebecca Luker, Judy Blazer and Audra McDonald.
