News Composer LaChiusa Talks About Little Fish at Barnes and Noble, Feb. 24 Composer Michael John LaChiusa will take part in a Barnes and Noble event, Feb. 24 at 7 PM. Isis Misdary, a Second Stage Van Leir Directing Fellow, will engage in a Q&A session at the B&N Lincoln Center about his current Off-Broadway production of Little Fish.

Composer of Broadway musicals such as The Wild Party and Marie Christine, LaChiusa sets his new musical, Little Fish, in New York City "over the course of the present year."

The show, based on the stories of writer Deborah Eisenberg, centers around a neurotic New Yorker who reflects on her attempts to quit smoking, exercise regularly, and find the man of her dreams in the big city.

Second Stage Theatre's staging of Michael John LaChiusa's world premiere musical, Little Fish, currently plays at the midtown Manhattan venue and is scheduled for a Feb. 13 open. Graciela Daniele (Once on This Island, Marie Christine, A New Brain) directs a cast that includes Jennifer Laura Thompson, Lea DeLaria, Marcy Harriell, Hugh Panaro, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Ken Marks and Eric Jordan Young.
