News Composers and Librettist Invited to Try Their Musical Futures At UK's Greenwich

Musical writers are now invited to send in submissions for Musical Futures, a showcase festival of new musical theatre at Greenwich Theatre in Britain.

The showcase, now in its third consecutive year, provides a platform for the development of musicals and musical theatre, filling the gulf between small scale productions and fully funded West End shows.

On 23rd February at 10 AM, there will be an open meeting at the theatre in which writers are invited to ask the staff questions about Musical Futures. The festival will run May 20-25, 2002, during which time 12 new musicals will be showcased as triple-bills.

Hilary Strong, the Theatre's executive Director, said "Musical Futures has already launched a number of exciting projects and we look forward to building on this success with an exciting new line-up of shows."

Writers should contact the theatre for further details on 020 8858 4447 or email [email protected]
