Glyn O'Malley's Concertina's Rainbow, about two women's attempts to rescue a young gypsy girl from the "racial cleansing" of Bosnia, ends its run at Boca Raton's Caldwell Theatre Dec. 16. Michael Hall directs the drama, which began performances Nov. 4.

Maureen and Maisy are two women on their way to Vienna from America for two very different reasons. Maureen, single and middle-aged, is there to adopt a Gypsy refugee named Concertina, while Maisy, who fled Nazi persecution in Austria during World War II, has returned to sell her paintings in the city that was once her home. The two strike up a friendship, but neither is prepared for what will happen to them when the war in Sarajevo heats up. The title comes from young Concertina's wish for "a rainbow of safety."

Jacqueline Knapp is Maureen with Elizabeth Perry as Maisy and Tiffany Leigh Moskow as Concertina/Young Maisy. Joining them are Jessica K. Peterson (Stewardess et al), Jason Field (Woolfie et al) and Harriet Oser (The Woman).

Designing Concertina's Rainbow are Tim Bennett (sets), Thomas Salzman (lighting), Penny Koleos Williams (costumes), Steve Shapiro and Ben Bauscher (sound). Lisa Lamont is the stage manager.
