CHICAGO -- "Directions 1998: A Producer/Director Dialogue" will spark a half-day conference at the Theatre Building on Jan. 17, at which time noted producers and directors from Chicago's largest and newest theaters will share viewpoints and discuss issues. Sponsored by the Chicago Directors' Forum, a resource organization for local directors, the event is the first of a year of new ventures, including resource databases on actors, designers and technical support; mentoring programs between early and established directors; and additonal workshops and "Directors' Nights Out."
