The celebrated Off-Broadway revival of Little Shop of Horrors welcomes Golden Globe nominee Constance Wu (Crazy Rich Asians, Hustlers) and stage and screen star Corbin Bleu (High School Musical franchise, Kiss Me, Kate) to the cast September 26, with the pair stepping into the roles of Audrey and Seymour, respectively. The Howard Ashman-Alan Menken musical revival continues its run at the Westside Theatre.

Wu and Bleu succeed Jeremy Jordan and Joy Woods, who played their final performances September 24.

“Little Shop has been my #1 favorite musical since I first saw a community production growing up in Richmond, Virginia. The music is so wonderful, and I love Audrey. I relate to her scrappiness and finding beauty in the simple things,” said Wu in an earlier statement. “I am so excited to be in this production, singing and performing alongside the brilliant Corbin Bleu, and enjoying the thrill of live and alive theatre with the audience.”

“I’ve been a fan of Little Shop since childhood—I watched the film on repeat. It’s a perfect musical and this is definitely a dream-fulfilling moment for me,” added Corbin Bleu. “I am really looking forward to performing with Constance and finding our Seymour and Audrey dynamic. We both love and crave live theatre—our mutual excitement is kinetic.”

The current cast also features Bryce Pinkham (A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, The Heidi Chronicles) as Dr. Orin Scrivello D.D.S., Brad Oscar (Something Rotten!, The Producers) as Mushnik, Aaron Arnell Harrington as The Voice of Audrey II, D’Kaylah Unique Whitley as Ronnette, Tiffany Renee Thompson as Crystal, and Khadija Sankoh as Chiffon with Camryn Hampton, Najah Hetsberger, Weston Chandler Long, Teddy Yudain, Zakiya Baptiste, Johnny Newcomb, Jonothon Lyons, Noel MacNeal, Michael Iannucci, Kevin Pariseau, Jeff Sears, Evan Alexander Smith, and Melissa Victor.

The Off-Broadway revival resumed its run September 21, 2021, after temporarily closing in March 2020 due to the pandemic.

Directed by Tony winner Michael Mayer, the revival opened in October 2019. The creative team for the Howard Ashman-Alan Menken musical also includes choreographer Ellenore Scott, scenic designer Julian Crouch, lighting designer Bradley King, costume designer Tom Broecker, sound designer Jessica Paz, puppet designer Nicholas Mahon, original puppet designer Martin P. Robinson, hair and makeup designer Tommy Kurzman, music supervisor, orchestrator, and arranger Will Van Dyke, and casting director Jim Carnahan. Puppets are by Monkey Boys Productions.

General management is by Live Wire Theatrical/Chris Aniello, and production stage management is by Sara Sahin.
