News Cooper, White, & Isaacs To Bring Life to London? Some of the original Broadway stars of The Life will very likely recreate their roles in an upcoming London production of the musical. Tony-winners Chuck Cooper and Lillias White, as well as Pamela Isaacs, will be among the performers sought after to make the trans-Atlantic trip, spokesperson Judy Jacksina told Playbill On-line. Jacksina added, however, that none of the casting was definite.

Some of the original Broadway stars of The Life will very likely recreate their roles in an upcoming London production of the musical. Tony-winners Chuck Cooper and Lillias White, as well as Pamela Isaacs, will be among the performers sought after to make the trans-Atlantic trip, spokesperson Judy Jacksina told Playbill On-line. Jacksina added, however, that none of the casting was definite. As first reported in Variety, a London staging of the gritty New York musical will happen this October. The specific dates and theatre of the engagement are not yet known.

The Cy Coleman-David Newman-Ira Gasman show opened at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre on April 26, 1997. It went on to receive a host of Tony nominations, netting two for supporting players Cooper and White.
