Songwriters David Cornue and Sam Holtzapple present an evening of new theatre songs, aptly titled Songs, 8 PM Oct. 29 at The Greenwich House Music School in Manhattan.

Composer Cornue and lyricist Holtzapple have been writing together since they met in the BMI Musical Theatre Workshop in 1999. Their works include Dying to Sing, an original musical; a non-musical farce entitled A Slight Hitch; and a host of individual songs. Holtzapple's lyrics have been heard in cabaret shows around town, and composer Cornue is also a singer, heard in Jerome Hughes' Puppies, in New York City, in October 2000.

Kim Breden (who has Andrew Lloyd Webber's German Phantom of the Opera among her credits), John Thomas Oaks (himself a songwriter) and Heather Villaescusa (a Theatreworks USA vet) perform the 13 numbers in Songs. Andrew Abrams musical directs.

Tickets are $20. The Greenwich House Music School is at 46 Barrow Street. For reservations, call (212) 726-1177.
