International News Coronation Street Star Bill Ward to Join London’s Everybody’s Talking About Jamie Ward will take on the roles of Hugo/Loco Chanelle beginning July 1 at the Apollo Theatre.

Bill Ward, best known for his television roles on Coronation Street and Emmerdale, will join the West End cast of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, taking on the roles of Hugo/Loco Chanelle beginning July 1.

Ward will succeed Roy Haylock/Bianca Del Rio.

The cast of Everybody Loves Jamie also includes Layton Williams (Jamie New), Faye Tozer (Miss Hedge), Alex Anstey (Laika Virgin), Luke Baker (Dean Paxton), Courtney Bowman (Fatimah), Marvyn Charles (Swing), Marlon G Day (Dad), Momar Diagne, Zahra Jones (Becca), James Gillan (Tray Sophisticay), Ryan Hughes (Mickey), Daniel Jacob (Sandra Bollock), Melissa Jacques, Emily Kenwright (Vicki), Sejal Keshwala (Ray), Luke Latchman (Sayid), Jordan Laviniere (Cy), Rebecca McKinnis (Margaret New), Harriet Payne (Bex), Rachel Price (Swing), Sabrina Sandhu (Pritti Pasha), Biancha Szynal (Swing), Adam Taylor (Swing), and Ziggy Tyler Taylor (Levi).

The 2017 musical, based on the 2011 documentary Jamie: Drag Queen at 16, follows a young, aspiring drag queen who must overcome prejudice to live out his dreams in the spotlight. The show features a book and lyrics by Tom MacRae and music by Dan Gillespie Sells.
