Monteith, who starred as Finn Hudson on the FOX TV show "Glee," died July 13 at the age of 31. The upcoming fall episodes of "Glee" will pay tribute to Monteith and also address drug and alcohol abuse in relation to Monteith's character Finn.

"McCanick," which also stars David Morse, Ciaran Hinds and Mike Vogel, will receive its word premiere at the festival Sept. 9. The film features Monteith playing a drug-addicted criminal who is released from prison and then hunted down by a police chief over the course of a day. The film is directed by Josh C. Waller and produced by Waller, Morse and Ehud Bleiberg.

Another of Monteith's last films, "All The Wrong Reasons," will receive its world premiere in the festival's Discovery program. In Gia Milani's film, Monteith plays a store manager whose wife (Karine Vanasse) struggles with posttraumatic stress disorder brought on by a family tragedy.
