Following a sold-out engagement last April, Craig Stevens Guide to Making it on Broadway will return for a monthly engagement throughout the summer at the West Side venue.
David Alpert, assistant director for the Guthrie Theater staging of Tony Kushner's The Intelligent Homosexual's Guide to Capitalism…, directs Craig Stevens, which was conceived and written by Kevin Michael Murphy.
Murphy stars in the 9:30 PM performance that also features Lauren Marcus (ReWrite: The Songs of Joe Iconis) and Lauren C. Adams (Illyria). In addition to Adams and Maynard, the evening will also feature special guest Jay A. Johnson from the acclaimed Broadway revival of Hair.
Based on the You-tube series "The Craig Stevens Video Blog," the series follows the adventures of show-poster collector Craig Stevens and his "girlfriend" Janine.
John O'Malley choreographs with musical direction by Andy Hertz and original music by Rob Hartmann. Tickets are priced $10, and there is a $15 food/drink minimum.
