Following her recent New York theatre debut in Manhattan Concert Productions' Crazy For You, Rachel Bloom has been tapped to star in an upcoming dark comedy mystery alongside Adam Pally. According to Deadline, Most Likely to Murder will begin shooting in New York this March.

Bloom won a Golden Globe Award in 2016 for her star turn in her musical comedy series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. Dan Gregor and Doug Mand, who are both writers for the CW series, will pen the film's screenplay. Bloom, Pally, Gregor, and Mand join Petra Ahmann as producers on the project.

When Billy returns to his hometown after ten years, he realizes his days as the popular kid are long gone, and his high school crush is now dating the class outcast. When the loner’s mother dies unexpectedly, Billy sets out to prove she was murdered.
