Crazy Sexy Disco, the new interactive musical comedy about a Midwestern boy with a dream of opening his own nightclub, begins performances Off-Broadway Sept. 23 at the Roy Arias Theater.

Jen James, Liz Piccoli and Svea Schneider created the event that began as a theme party and continues to tour select cities. Sharon Cacciabaudo penned the book. The Roy Arias Theater engagement will run through Sept. 26. Producers are looking for a permanent New York home for the production. The cast features Clark Feeney, Tonyia Rue, Amber Bloom, David Cavellin, Robyn Young, Ryan Braun, Rebecca Magazine, Joi Favor, Shelley McLaughlin, David Sincere Aiken, Demar Braxton and Jeff Cowans.

Crazy Sexy Disco centers on Jim Smiley, who is so taken with "Saturday Night Fever" that he hops a Greyhound bus to New York City in the hopes of opening his own nightclub. His New York dreams are shattered when he finds himself bartending in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Soon a cast of characters come through the door of the bar and bring Jim's dream back to life.

The Roy Arias Theater is located at 300 W. 43rd St. in Manhattan. For tickets visit BrownPaperTickets.
