Shatner's World: We Just Live in It will play the Music Box Feb. 14-March 4 with an official opening scheduled for Feb. 16. The Music Box was recently the home of the revival of Noel Coward's Private Lives; this spring it will also welcome the London hit One Man, Two Guvnors.

The newly announced creative team includes Scott Faris (director), Edward Pierce (scenic design), Ken Billington (lighting design) and Peter Fitzgerald (sound design).

The two-hour show, according to press notes, will "take audiences on a voyage through Shatner’s life and career, from Shakespearean stage actor to internationally known icon and raconteur, known as much for his unique persona as for his expansive body of work on television and film."

Returning to Broadway for the first time since 1962, Shatner said in a statement, “I've been pretty busy since I last played the Music Box. I've been refurbished; I hope the theatre has been too. My plan has always been to return to Broadway every 50 years. I can’t ask my fans to wait for me longer than Halley’s Comet, so I’m coming back."

The Broadway engagement will kick off a 15-week national tour, according to a previous report in the New York Post. Shatner has previously appeared on Broadway in A Shot in the Dark, The World of Suzie Wong and Tamburlaine the Great.

Shatner's World is produced by Innovation Arts & Entertainment, Larry A Thompson Organization, Adam Troy Epstein, Larry A Thompson, Seth Keyes, and Josh Sherman.
