News Creative Team Set for Berkshire Theatre Festival's Faith Healer The Berkshire Theatre Festival production of Brian Friel's Faith Healer, starring David Adkins, Colin Lane and Keira Naughton, will officially open May 22.

Eric Hill directs Friel's three-actor play, which is told through a series of extended monologues. Faith Healer begins performances May 21 and runs through July 4 in the BTF Unicorn Theatre.

As previously reported, Colin Lane (A Touch of the Poet) will play Frank, David Adkins (Waiting for Godot) will play Teddy and Keira Naughton (The Rivals) will play Grace.

According to press notes, "the play tells the story of Francis 'Frank' Hardy, an Irish faith healer who tours the British Isles, performing healings on the sick and invalid in whatever small spaces he can find. Along with his manager, Teddy, and his wife, Grace, Frank moves from small town to small town attempting to heal those with no hope for any other cure. Meanwhile, Frank has to come to grips with his own doubts, fears, and demons and attempt to understand his place in this world. When he starts to lose control, a chance encounter in a bar could bring him to salvation or damnation."

Faith Healer will have set design by Chesapeake Westveer, costume design by Charles Schoonmaker, lighting design by Dan Kotlowitz and sound design by J. Hagenbuckle.

For tickets, priced $15-$44, call the BTF box office at (413) 298-5536 ext. 33 or visit www.berkshiretheatre.org.
