On Monday, October 6, Sotheby's New York will host a talk by the creative team behind Zhivago, the much-anticipated musical based on Boris Pasternak's epic novel. Composer Lucy Simon (Secret Garden), ubiquitous lyricist Susan Birkenhead (Triumph of Love, High Society), and playwright Arthur Kopit (Nine) will discuss the progression of their new work, which is being readied for production sometime in 1998.
The lecture will begin at 6 PM and will be held in the main sales room at Sotheby's (72nd St. & York Ave.) as part of the auction house's lecture series. Tickets are $25 each, and the proceeds will benefit Lenox Hill House, a local charitable foundation. For more information, call (212) 606-7377.
