LOS ANGELES--Writers Ink and Maggie Schmidt will present the world premiere of a new comedy, Crooks, written by Leigh Reilly Hayes and directed by Aaron Lustig. Crooks is set to open July 16 at the Tiffany Theater in West Hollywood.

Playing in Crooks are Jay Acovone ("Snitch"), Traycey Ellis (The Crow II), Aaron Lustig (The Late Shift), Colleen Quinn ("Nothing Sacred"), Michael Ralph (Woo), Daniel Roebuck (U.S. Marshals), Joel Sagal ("NYPD Blue") and Michael Wiseman ("NYPD Blue").

The story is about a down-and-out couple who kidnap a businessman in Las Vegas and then find themselves caught up in a world of deception, greed and betrayal.

Crooks will play through August 30, running 8 PM Thursday through Sunday at the Tiffany Theater, 8532 Sunset Blvd. Tickets are $25 on Thursday and $30 all other times. Box office: (310) 289-2999.
