News CTI Extends Nomination Deadline to Dec. 8; Jed Bernstein Becomes Program Director The Commercial Theater Institute (CTI) has extended its deadline for nominations for its 14-week program until Dec. 8, and Jed Bernstein has been named CTI's program director.

Twenty-five people will get invited to participate in the program, which meets Monday evenings from Feb. 5 through May 7, 2007. The program teaches participants about commercial theatre producing for Broadway, Off-Broadway and the road, with a special emphasis on the relationship between for-profit and non-profit theatre. Bernstein, the former president of the League of American Theatres and Producers, is currently the president of Above the Title Entertainment, a new Broadway and television production company.

The nominees are evaluated by Bernstein; Charlotte St. Martin, the executive director of the League of American Theatres and Producers; and Victoria Bailey, the executive director of the Theatre Development Fund (TDF).
