Jekyll & Hyde's original stars Robert Cuccioli and Christiane Noll will make their final bows in the Broadway show Jan. 3, 1999. Actress Anastasia Barzee will take over for Noll. Barzee's credits include the musical Miss Saigon . Barzee will give her first performance Jan. 5, 1999.

Original Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde Cuccioli will leave the production after nearly 900 performances. Rob Evan will take over the title role Jan. 5. Thanks to the show's matinees, Evan has already played the role more than 300 times. Evan has also appeared on Broadway in Les Miz. On the road, he has toured with Les Miz, Jekyll & Hyde, Hot Mikado, and Hello, Dolly!.

Come springtime, composer Frank Wildhorn will likely have three musicals running on Broadway: J&H, The Scarlet Pimpernel and The Civil War.

Evan was originally supposed to take on the national tour, but instead that role will go to Chuck Wagner, of Beauty and the Beast fame.
