News Cuccioli, Zolli, Lanning, Steele and Hicks Set for Jesus Christ Superstar Concerts Three concerts of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's Jesus Christ Superstar will be presented at the Saint Joseph Regional High School in Montvale, NJ.

Performances will be offered at the New Jersey venue March 30 and 31 at 8 PM and April 1 at 3 PM. Neil Berg will be the musical supervisor for the concerts; Charles Czarnecki will be musical director. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Covenant House New Jersey. Danny Zolli, who has starred in productions of Jesus Christ Superstar worldwide, will head the cast as Jesus. The company will also feature Shayna Steele as Mary Magdalene (Christine Hicks will play that role March 31), Robert Cuccioli as Pilate (David Weitzer will play the role March 31), Michael Park as Peter, David Velarde as Annas, Michael Lanning as Simon, Lawrence Clayton as Judas, Ray McLeod as Caiaphas and Kirby Ward as Herod (John Patrick Schutz will play the role March 31).

Jesus Christ Superstar, with a score by Lloyd Webber (music) and Rice (lyrics), debuted on Broadway in 1971. The musical dramatizes "the excitement caused by [Jesus'] message, his betrayal, his trial before Pontius Pilate, and his ultimate sacrifice." Superstar features such songs as "Everything's Alright," "I Don't Know How to Love Him," "Gesthemane" and the title tune.
