News Cumming Celebrates "Blue Car" CD at London's Dress Circle Sept. 5 Tony Award winner Alan Cumming, who is scheduled to star in Julie Taymor's Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark in winter 2010, celebrates the release of his debut solo recording, "I Bought a Blue Car Today," with an appearance at the London show-biz shop Dress Circle Sept. 5.

Cumming will appear at Dress Circle 1-2 PM London time to autograph copies of the new CD. "I Bought a Blue Car Today" is scheduled for a U.S. release Sept. 22 on the Yellow Sound Label.

Beautiful The Olivier Award-winning actor is currently offering his solo show, also titled I Bought a Blue Car Today, through Sept. 6 at London's Vaudeville Theatre. Cumming is accompanied by musical director Lance Horne. The stage and screen star will bring his new show to Manhattan's Highline Ballroom Oct. 25.

Alan Cumming received the Tony Award as Best Actor in a Musical for his performance as The Emcee in Cabaret. He has also been seen on Broadway in The Threepenny Opera and Design for Living. London theatre credits include Bent, The Bacchae, Hamlet at the Donmar Warehouse (for which he won the TMA Best Actor Award), Cabaret, La Bete (Olivier Award nomination), Elle, Conquest of the South Pole (Olivier nomination) and The Accidental Death of an Anarchist at The Royal National Theatre, for which he received an Olivier Award for his performance. Cumming's screen credits include "X2: X-Men United," "Eyes Wide Shut," "Goldeneye," "Emma," "Romy and Michele's High School Reunion," the "Spy Kids" trilogy, "Nicholas Nickleby," "Titus" and "Urbania."
