News Cumpsty, Cumming, Turturro, Sexton, Kulick, Edelstein Rehearse "Monday Night Othello" Off-Broadway's Classic Stage Company announced details of its "Monday Night Othello" series, in which acclaimed actors and directors explore a different act of the Shakespeare play on four Monday evenings.

Billed as an "open rehearsal series," this fifth season includes Michael Cumpsty, directed by Michael Sexton (8 PM Jan. 19); Michael Potts and Alan Cumming, directed by CSC artistic director Brian Kulick (8 PM Jan. 26); John Turturro and Alan Cumming, directed by Kulick (8 PM Feb. 2); and a cast to be announced, directed by former CSC artistic director Barry Edelstein (8 PM Feb. 9).

Classic Stage Company is located at 136 East 13th Street.

According to CSC, "Audiences will have the opportunity to become part of the creative process as they experience different Othellos and Iagos through varying interpretations and actor and directorial choices."

"Monday Night Othello" is presented in association with the Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation and The Shakespeare Society.
