News Cy Feuer Celebrated at Benefit, Oct. 30 There's nothing like planning ahead. Legendary producer Cy Feuer's 90th birthday doesn't roll around until Jan. 11, 2001, but already plans are underway to celebrate the advent of the Tony-winner's tenth decade on Earth. "Celebrate Cy" has been set for Oct. 30, 2000, at Pier 60-Chelsea Piers in Manhattan.

Legendary producer Cy Feuer's 90th birthday doesn't roll around until Jan. 11, 2001, but already plans are underway to celebrate the advent of the Tony-winner's tenth decade on Earth. "Celebrate Cy" has been set for Oct. 30, 2000, at Pier 60-Chelsea Piers in Manhattan.

The event is being co-presented by the Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation, the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers and The League of American Theatre and Producers. The evening will benefit SDCF. Entertainment, as yet unrevealed, will be directed and choreographed by Karen Azenberg and written by Douglas Bernstein and Denis Markell. Stars are to be announced.

The event will begin at 6 PM with cocktails and a 7 PM dinner to follow. A star-studded performance completes the evening.

Charing the gala are Jed Bernstein, James Burrows, John Kander and Fred Ebb, Rocco Landesman, Jo Sullivan Loesser, James M. Nederlander, Ted Pappas, Hal Prince, Ann Reinking and Gerald Schoenfeld. Vice-chair is the Rodgers and Hammerstein Organzation.

Feuer was the producer behind such Frank Loesser shows as Guys and Dolls, Where's Charley? and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Other credits include Can-Can and Little Me. For information, call (212) 302-5359.
