News Daisy Eagan, Sierra Boggess, Ramin Karimloo, Cheyenne Jackson, Ben Platt Join Secret Garden at Geffen Hall Daisy Eagan, who won the 1991 Tony Award for her performance as Mary Lennox in The Secret Garden, will step into the role of determined housemaid Martha in Manhattan Concert Productions' presentation of the musical in February 2016.

As previously reported, Tony nominee Sydney Lucas has been cast as Mary Lennox in the Feb. 21 and 22 performances at David Geffen Hall in New York. Eagan's performance in the role not only garnered her a Tony, it also cemented her place in theatrical history as the youngest actress to ever win the theatre's highest honor.

Joining Eagan will be her fellow original Broadway cast member Barbara Rosenblat, who will play Mrs. Medlock. The starry cast also boasts Sierra Boggess (Lily), Ramin Karimloo (Archibald Craven), Cheyenne Jackson (Dr. Neville Craven) and Ben Platt (Dickon).

In a rare stage return, Jere Shea – the original Giorgio in Sondheim's 1994 musical Passion – will take on the role of gardener Ben.

Stafford Arima (Allegiance, Ragtime, Carrie) will direct the concerts, which will include a chorus of over 200 singers and the New York City Chamber Orchestra. Michael Kosarin will conduct.

The Secret Garden has a book by Norman and music by Simon.

The Secret Garden opened at the St. James Theatre in April 1991, playing 709 performances before closing Jan. 3, 1993. The musical is based on the famed novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett. The original Broadway cast also featured Mandy Patinkin, Alison Fraser, Rebecca Luker, Robert Westenberg and John Cameron Mitchell.
