News "Dallas" Diva to Star in Terms of Endearment in New Hartford Stage Season "Dallas" actress Linda Gray will star in the world premiere of Terms of Endearment, Dan Gordon's adaptation of the Larry McMurtry novel and James L. Brooks 1983 film, which is now confirmed to play in Hartford Stage's upcoming season.

Artistic director Michael Wilson has confirmed the upcoming schedule and further details for the shows that were previously reported to play his Connecticut company's stage.

This year's SummerStage season features Clarke Peters and Larrington Walker's Unforgettable: The Nat "King'' Cole Story and Hershey Felder's Monsieur Chopin along with returning runs of Two Pianos, Four Hands and George Gershwin Alone.

The mainstage 2006-2007 season (subject to change) is as follows:

  • Tennessee Williams' Summer and Smoke (Aug. 31-Oct. 1)
    A co-production with New Jersey's Paper Mill Playhouse, directed by Wilson.
  • Jean Paul Sartre's No Exit (Oct. 12-Nov. 12)
    Collaboration with the Massachusetts' American Repertory Theatre directed by Jerry Mouawad. Stuart Gilbert's translation.
  • A Christmas Carol – A Ghost Story of Christmas (Nov. 24-Dec. 30)
    The special holiday tradition, adapted and directed by Wilson.
  • August Wilson's Fences (Jan. 11-Feb. 11, 2007)
    Jonathan Wilson directs.
  • Luis Alfaro's Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner (March 1-April 1, 2007)
    Directed by Lisa Peterson.
  • Doug Wright's I Am My Own Wife (April 12-May 13, 2007).
    Hartford Stage associate artistic director Jeremy B. Cohen stages.
  • Terms of Endearment (May 24-June 24, 2007)
    A co-production with Texas' Alley Theatre directed by Wilson.
