PlayBlog "Damages" to Move to DirecTV Next Year "Damages," the FX legal drama starring stage vets Glenn Close, Tate Donovan, Martin Short and Lily Tomlin, will move to DirecTV for two seasons starting next year, according to the New York Times.

The series has been much acclaimed in its three-year FX run, despite low ratings. Close earned two consecutive Emmy Awards for her work as tough lawyer Patty Hewes, and Close, Short, Tomlin, cast member Rose Byrne and guest actor Ted Danson have also been nominated for this year’s Emmys.

DirecTV will also hold the rerun rights to the show’s first three seasons, although the deal does not allow for new episodes to run simultaneously on another network.
