Dancers From Newsies and More Prove Midwestern Boys Are Pretty Irresistible (Video) | Playbill

News Dancers From Newsies and More Prove Midwestern Boys Are Pretty Irresistible (Video) Musical theatre dancers, including Iain Young of Broadway's Newsies, prove that Midwestern boys are simply irresistible in songwriter Joey Contreras' new music video about guys from "Ohio."

The single is taken from Contreras' new album "Young Kind of Love," which features collaborations with "The Voice" contestant Loren Allred, recording artist and Spring Awakening actress LOLO (Lauren Pritchard), Zak Resnick, Natalie Weiss, Eric Michael Krop, Emma Hunton, Blake Daniel, Ben Fankhauser, Adrienne Warren and Lilli Cooper.

Filmed in New York, the video follows the songwriter as he falls into an Ohioan fantasy of ballet boys dressed in plaid, overalls and football uniforms. And, Newsies' Young is wearing one of Les Miz star Chris McCarrell's favorite Ohio t-shirts in the final scenes!

Direction, videography and editing are by Micah Joel with choreography by Ashley Peter and Brandon Cournay. The video features Cournay as the Ohio Boy with dancers Cesar Brodermann, Bejamin Freedman, Kile Hotchkiss and Young.

Produced by Contreras, musicians featured are Chris Allen, Liam Forde and Jacob Yates.
