Daniel Sullivan, who earned a Tony Award for staging Auburn's Proof, will stage the new play that will be presented Feb. 5 at 7:30 PM. Lost Lake was developed during the Eugene O'Neill Center's National Playwrights Conference this past summer.

The Chicago Tribune reports that Jake Weber and Opal Alladin will appear in the play that centers on a New Yorker — on holiday with her family — who becomes involved with the owner of the vacation home.

The presentation is part of University of Illinois' inaugural initiative "The Sullivan Project," which will "gather professional artists from across the country to produce a new play under the aegis of Illinois Theatre."

Sullivan, who was represented earlier this year with the Broadway productions of Orphans and The Snow Geese, holds a Swanlund Chair at the University.
