The season is taking shape for Off-Broadway's The Barrow Group, with more than a dozen readings scheduled, two workshops, and a spring 1998 production of a world premiere.

First up, Oct. 3, will be a reading of a screenplay by actor Denis O'Hare (Silence, Cunning, Exile). Other fall readings include Kate Robin's Given Away (Oct. 17), Jeff Daniels' Thy Kingdom's Come (Nov. 7), Brad Desch's The Two Of Us (Nov. 14), Ben Bettenbender's Vick's Boy, John Paul Porter's A Day At The Office and the first draft of a new play by Steven Dietz. The Barrow Group staged Dietz's Lonely Planet Off-Broadway.

The Workshops haven't been selected yet, but the world premiere play will likely be David Ippolito's Jack Flew.

The Barrow Group's last production was Women Of Manhattan, and they were represented Off-Broadway by their co-production of the long running Old Wicked Songs. The troupe won a 1995 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Off-Off-Broadway Theatre Company. Co-artistic directors Seth Barrish and Lee Brock were wed spring.
