Darius de Haas, the Broadway actor whose solo CD "Day Dream: Variations on Strayhorn" was released earlier this year, will be appearing at Joe's Pub at The Public Theater 7:30 PM Dec. 16, in a show called Strayhorn & More.

Featuring the trio that appeared on his CD (pianist and music director Deidre Rodman, bass player Brad Jones, and drummer JT Lewis) de Haas will sing Billy Strayhorn selections from the CD, along with special arrangements of music ranging from Harold Arlen to Annie Lennox to Stevie Wonder.  He'll also be doing a medley of songs from shows he's appeared in, including Rent, Children of Eden and Once on this Island.

De Haas is currently in rehearsals for The Blue Demon, written and directed by Darko Tresnjak for the Huntington Theater Company in Boston, Jan. 3-Feb. 2, 2003.
