News Darrow, Vassallo, Park and Coleman Will Join Rent's Rubin-Vega for Paternity Complete casting has been announced for Winter Miller's Paternity — part of the Cherry Lane Theatre's Mentor Project Series — which will play May 18-29 in the Studio Theatre at Cherry Lane.

Directed and mentored by Craig Lucas, the cast will be headed by the previously announced Daphne Rubin-Vega. She will be joined onstage by Nathan Darrow, Ed Vassallo, Stephen Park and Rosalyn Coleman.

Paternity, according to press notes, "is about a woman who wants to have a baby and be a single mother, and the man who happens to love her madly and challenges her decision."

The design team comprises Kina Park and John McDermott (set design), Rebecca Bernstein (costume design), Pat Dignan (lighting design) and Daniel Kluger (sound design).

Cherry Lane Theatre's Mentor Project each year pairs a new writer with an established playwright for a season of script development, casting, rehearsal and world-premiere productions of their works for the stage.
